The main requirements for the operation and maintenance of
screw conveyors are as follows:
1. The screw conveyor should be started without load, that is, when there is no material inside the shell, it should be started before feeding the screw conveyor. Before and after driving, the reducer should be regularly checked for smooth transmission. If there are any abnormalities, the vehicle should be stopped immediately for inspection and every effort should be made to eliminate them. Check the condition of the screw cover plate and whether there is sediment or other debris inside the screw. It is prohibited to drive with the screw blocked.
2. During the initial feeding of the screw conveyor, the feeding speed should be gradually increased until the rated conveying capacity is reached, and the feeding should be uniform. Otherwise, it is easy to cause blockage of the conveying material, overload of the driving device, and early damage to the entire machine.
3. In order to ensure the requirement of no-load starting of the screw machine, the conveyor should stop feeding before stopping, and stop running only after the materials in the casing are completely exhausted.
4. Hard bulk materials should not be mixed into the transported material to avoid screw jamming and damage to the screw machine.
5. Regularly inspect the working status of each component of the screw machine during use, pay attention to whether the fasteners are loose. If any loose parts are found, immediately tighten the screws and retighten them.
6. Special attention should be paid to whether the screws between the screw connection shafts are loose, dropped or cut. If such phenomena are found, the vehicle should be stopped immediately and corrected.
The cover of the
screw feeder should not be removed during machine operation to avoid accidents.
8. Any abnormal phenomena during the operation of the screw conveyor should be inspected and eliminated, and forced operation is not allowed.
9. The moving parts of the screw conveyor should be lubricated regularly.
