The lifespan of a
screw conveyor depends on the wear resistance of the screw blades. The most severe wear on the screw blades is at their top, mainly due to abrasive wear, oxidation wear, and thermal wear. To improve the wear resistance of spiral blades, the following measures can be taken:
1. Surface strengthening treatment. Surface strengthening not only improves the surface hardness, but also enables the surface of metal materials to have certain special chemical properties. Surface strengthening treatment can use arc and flame methods to improve the surface hardness of metal materials. Generally speaking, it has high hardness and good wear resistance.
2. Install wear-resistant steel sheets or cover reinforced polymer wear-resistant sheets on the upper part of the spiral blades, which can be quickly replaced after wear.
3. Spiral blades made from polytetrafluoroethylene as the base material, filled with polymer powder or alloy powder and oxides, and sintered by powder metallurgy have high wear resistance, with an annual wear amount of only 0.002-0.004mm.
4. Brushing wear-resistant coating has good formation, high stability, low friction coefficient, and certain mechanical strength. The brushing process is simple, suitable for occasions with temperatures below 100 ℃, but its impact resistance is poor. Experiments have shown that this wear-resistant coating has 2.5 times higher wear resistance than cast iron.
Spiral conveyors are used in various industries and can efficiently solve the transportation of materials. Henan Chunying Environmental Protection Equipment Co., Ltd. is a factory specializing in the origin of mechanical manufacturing.
